Alan Thomson is the Chief Executive of Beef + Lamb New Zealand.

Alan has spent more than 40 years working alongside farmers, helping them run more profitable and productive businesses while keeping an eye on the future. He has extensive experience, including as part of two biotech startups, working directly with farmers to develop practical, science-backed solutions. He believes in using data and technology to help farmers make smarter and sustainable decisions that deliver real value on-farm.
